ITS Georgia awards Shackelford scholarships to 5 students for their ideas using technology to eliminate roadway deaths

These five School of Civil and Environmental Engineering students won scholarships from the Intelligent Transportation Society of Georgia for their essays about the ways intelligent transportation systems and technology could help the United States eliminate roadway deaths and serious injuries by 2025. The Intelligent Transportation Society of Georgia rewarded five School of Civil and Environmental Engineering students with scholarships Nov. 14. The 2018 Wayne Shackelford Engineering Scholarships support student involvement in transportation engineering.

WTS Atlanta honors 3 transportation students

Alice Grossman, Tu Nguyen and Ann Li, winners of scholarships this year from the WTS Atlanta chapter. They will now compete with nominees from every other chapter for more financial support.

The Atlanta chapter of WTS has awarded scholarships to three School of Civil and Environmental Engineering students for 2017. They’ll now compete against nominees from every chapter for international scholarships from the WTS Foundation.
