For the second year in a row, Georgia Tech’s undergraduate environmental engineering program jumped two spots in the most-visible rankings of engineering program, landing at No. 2 in the nation. Meanwhile, the civil engineering bachelor’s program maintained its second-place status in the U.S. News and World Report 2018 rankings released Sept. 12.
For the first time in school history, both undergraduate and graduate civil engineering programs at Georgia Tech are ranked second in the nation. The milestone comes with the release March 14 of U.S. News and World Report’s 2018 ranking of graduate engineering program. The civil engineering master’s and Ph.D. program rose to its highest-ever spot on the list at No. 2. Environmental engineering is No. 7 in the country.
Georgia Tech’s civil engineering program has tied for second in the nation in the 2017 U.S. News and World Report rankings of the best undergraduate engineering degrees in the country, up one spot from the 2016 list. The environmental engineering program climbed to No. 4.
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s graduate programs remain among the five best in the United States, according to new rankings released March 16. U.S. News and World Report lists the School’s civil engineering graduate program as No. 4 and the environmental engineering program at No. 5 in its 2017 rankings.
