We founded Precision 2000, Inc. (P2K) with the belief that construction is about more than building projects — it is about improving communities. Over the years, we have had the privilege of working with remarkable clients, including Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the United States Forest Service, the City of Atlanta, and the Georgia Department of Transportation. Each project represents an opportunity to make streets, public spaces, and communities safer, stronger, and more functional.

Our company is built on a foundation that blends engineering knowledge, financial discipline, and strong leadership in the field. But the values that guide our work began long before P2K existed — during our time as international graduate students at Georgia Institute of Technology.

When we arrived at Georgia Tech from Colombia, we were far from our families, our friends, and everything familiar. Like many students who come to pursue an education abroad, we had to adapt to a new culture while managing the demands of a rigorous academic program. It was both challenging and transformative.

Georgia Tech shaped our lives in profound ways. It gave us an exceptional education, but just as importantly, it gave us the confidence to believe in ourselves, take risks, and pursue the dream of building our own construction company. Looking back, we understand how important encouragement, opportunity, and support were in helping us move forward.

Engineering courses can be very time-intensive, and balancing work while preparing for multiple exams can be challenging. Because of the P2K Scholarship, I was able to reduce my work hours and dedicate more time to studying. That extra time made a significant difference, allowing me to focus on understanding the material rather than worrying about completing enough work hours to cover expenses.

That is why the P2K Scholarship means so much to us. It is not simply financial assistance—it is our way of opening doors for the next generation of engineers. In particular, we hope to support Hispanic and female students who may not always see the same opportunities in engineering, construction, and entrepreneurship.

We want future scholarship recipients to know that we see a part of our own story in theirs. Our hope is that this support gives them confidence as they pursue their education and begin building their careers. We believe their talent is real, their ambitions are worth pursuing, and their potential is far greater than they may realize today.

P2K has already benefited from the talent and dedication of many Georgia Tech graduates who have contributed to our company’s success. For that reason, our partnership with Georgia Tech is more than philanthropy—it is a meaningful relationship that strengthens both our company and the future of our industry.

You, too, can support the Institute as P2K has by making an online gift today.
