Joe Manous is a Professor of the Practice in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He brings over four decades of experience in civil and environmental engineering, including service as Chief Information Officer and Director of the Institute for Water Resources for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Earlier roles at USACE included managing international activities and policy support within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works.
A retired Army officer, his final active-duty post was as an Academy Professor at West Point. His academic experience includes 12-years on the West Point faculty and 10-years as an adjunct professor at George Mason University.
Joe is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia and board-certified by the American Academy of Water Resources Engineering.
Water resources planning, climate and infrastructure resilience, environmental security, and decision analysis for complex civil works systems.
