CEE Welcomes New Faculty

Sharon Just will join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering as a professor of the practice in environmental engineering on Dec. 1. Just brings more than 30 years of experience as an environmental engineer and entrepreneur.

Just’s expertise is in industrial wastewater treatment of technically challenging waste streams. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in environmental engineering and science from Stanford University.

She is the founder and president of Just Engineering & Associates, Inc., which specializes in industrial wastewater treatment and compliance issues in multiple states for Fortune 100 industrial clients.

Before starting her own business, Just spent 11 years at the Parsons Corporation in various roles, including treatability lab coordinator, industrial waste process deputy manager, client service manager for a Fortune 100 top 10 client, and wastewater and air process group manager, culminating in her appointment as a Parsons Associate. 

She has been named an Outstanding Woman Leader by the Society of Women Engineers and served six years on Georgia Tech's Civil & Environmental Engineering External Advisory Board.
