Georgia Tech maintains its standing as a top school for civil and environmental engineering in U.S. News and World Report’s 2022 graduate school rankings.
Civil engineering is listed at No. 2 in the nation, while the environmental engineering program is ranked No. 6.
“We take great pride in our graduate programs’ high quality of instruction and research, so it is gratifying to see that recognized at such an elite level,” said Karen and John Huff School Chair Don Webster. “It is an honor to once again have our civil and environmental engineering degrees ranked among the very best in the nation.”
Tech’s civil engineering program is tied with the University of Illinois for the No. 2 position. This is up one spot from last year, when Tech ranked third among graduate civil engineering programs nationally.
In a tie with Virginia Tech, the environmental engineering program is ranked No. 6, down one spot from its No. 5 ranking on the 2021 list.
Overall, the College of Engineering is ranked No. 8, maintaining the same position as last year. For the tenth year in a row, all 11 of Georgia Tech’s graduate engineering programs are ranked in the top 10 in their fields in the U.S. News & World Report graduate rankings.
