January has already been a busy month for the National Center for Transportation Systems Productivity and Management (NCTSPM), a tri-state University Transportation Center (UTC) that conducts transportation-related research in the areas of safety, state-of-good-repair, and economic competitiveness.
The Center has just released their 2013 Annual Report, will present at The Transportation Research Board (TRB) 93rd Annual Meeting this weekend, and plans to host the UTC Conference for the Southeastern Region this spring.
TRB 93rd Annual Meeting
The TRB 93rd Annual Meeting will be held in Washington, D.C., January 12-16, 2014. The program will attract nearly 12,000 transportation professionals from around the world, and will cover all transportation modes. More than 4,500 presentations in nearly 800 sessions and workshops will address topics of interest to all attendees—policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. More than 50 presentations will be given by NCTSPM-related Georgia Tech faculty, researchers and students.
UTC Conference for the Southeastern Region
On March 24 and 25, 2014, NCTSPM's Georgia Tech members will host the UTC Conference for the Southeastern Region in Atlanta, Ga. The conference will bring together faculty, students, practitioners, and public agencies to disseminate and showcase research, education and technology transfer activities in the Southeast, and to further enhance collaboration among the academic community, as well as the private and public sector agencies in the region.
